Build Your Own Wind Generator And Cut Your Electric Bill In Half

Mother Nature provides an abundant and free source of power! You can build your own wind generator and create electricity from the wind to power your home and even your business.

I decided to try this alternative energy source and see if it could actually work for me. I know that there are large wind generators being used in other parts of the world, and even in this country, but I wanted to know if I could build a wind generator myself and use it to provide electricity for my home.

Generator

A wind generator works by utilizing the enormous amounts of kinetic energy in the wind and converting that energy into electricity by means of a DC motor. This conversion occurs when the wind causes the fan blades of the turbine to spin, so the windier it is, the more electricity you can produce!

I built my wind generator for less than 0.00! I found all the materials at a hardware store in town and my daughter and I did it in about two weeks. You can also find parts online, but I was fortunate to get them all locally.

Like I mentioned earlier, the windier it is, the more power your wind generator will produce. I discovered that the energy in wind is directly proportional to the wind speed multiplied by itself three times. For example, you actually increase the energy produced by eight times when the wind speed increases from 10 mph to 20 mph!

Another interesting fact to keep in mind is that speeds at a higher elevation are usually greater than the wind speed at ground level, this is generally due to ground friction. Have you ever stood outside and looked up at some tall trees and noticed how they were swaying in the wind, yet you felt no breeze where you were standing? That is an example of how there's a greater wind speed at higher elevations than at ground level.

I decided to build two wind generators atop 15 foot towers to take advantage of the higher elevation and greater wind speed. I also happen to live in an area that's basically in the middle of nowhere, so there are no other structures around to inhibit the wind. I also installed a 100 watt solar panel to harness the power of the sun. I am now using two of Mother Nature's best offerings to power my home, wind and solar energy.

I know that if I can build my own wind generators and use the awesome power of the wind to provide electricity for my home, and I have absolutely no technical know-how at all, then I know that anyone can definitely do it!! All I needed was a thorough wind generator how-to guide, the right tools, and the determination to save money on my utility bills and create my free source of electricity.
